How to make a Clockmakers Gear Depthing Tool - Simple Design
The difficulty with any clock makers depthing tool is the critical parallelism of the runners. What I do not explain clear enough in this video, that provided the holes for the runner bearings and hinges are drilled in one sitting, each row of holes at a time in the milling machine, parallelism is guaranteed regardless of how square the frames are!
