Anodising Aluminium using the Electrolysis of Dilute Sulphuric Acid - Anodizing
Using simple electrolysis of dilute sulphuric car battery acid to anodise a small aluminium rod. I then use an organic dye (cheap clothes dyes work) to dye the part blue.
I nearly didn`t post this video as I made a fatal error in not having any lead for my electrode which slowed down the entire process! I did however get some oxidation which is shown by the dyeing process at the end. I used nickel plated crocodile clips which really didn`t help!
