I am writing this post 6 years on just due to the shear amount of views this video has on youtube. It is currently on 422,716 views as of 29.0.16 which I never expected when I posted this short 10 second clip!
Despite never taking any more videos of this build as it was before I started blogging/vlogging my projects, it was a sound concept. The leadscrew was trapezoidal decent quality stuff but the slides were cheap (most expensive of all draw slides) ball bearing draw slides from B&Q hardware store. They moved freely and true and the hole thing stood up to the forces of cutting mdf or Perspex. It was a nice machine, you couldn`t cut pocket watch plates on it, but it worked!
